Because I think the iconic American bag line deserves some kudos for longevity. They uphold a healthy market share for decades, a subdued-yet-present relevancy for several seasons, then surge into the spotlight intermittently with well-timed designer collabs. FW2011 brings the latest partnership with streetwear house JOYRICH. Although most of the prints could have been more progressive, JOYRICH has executed with mass market appeal and succeeded at bringing the functional line the freedom of fashion it needed to capture our attention once again. Freedom = appeal…ALWAYS! I’m watching the streets; this just might be the collection that brings Le Sportsac back to its faddish 80s prime. (I’ll take the leopard weekender please.)

We can count on H&M this year for some better-then-Fall-2010 closet anchors….and burgundy! After wearing Lover’s ivory version all summer, I’ll be watching for the high waisted merlot-soaked trousers to hit stores early October (2nd image up on right). They’ll be a perfect pairing with the prints, patchwork and new neutral beauties I’ll be indulging in from finer racks.
Its official. I’m bored of my summer closet and day dreaming of fall. I’ve decided to post one FW2011 entry/day for a week ending with my Can’t Live Without list to inspire you for the season ahead. We need to get on it after all; the best pieces get scooped (from Zara to shopbop to NAP) by mid August, and we all need some time to take stock of our closets from last FW, and PURGE! I hope the next 7 days inspires you to sway away from ho-hum summer clearance racks and focus on what you could use most. There’s no better way to start then with inspiration from the one and only…
